A prototype of a wood "bearing", was not used in our final design but was part of my iterative process

A slice view of the wood bearing. This construction drawing helped me assemble a working bearing made from plywood.

First sketch of what later became "Trifecta"

The first small-scale prototype of the concept

Variations and iterations of the concept

Further development of the concept. We are adding a base to bring more stability to the table.

Testing how having a set of these tables will fit together

Each component of the table was built from the geometry of a hexagon inscribed inside an equatorial triangle
The following photos are of the fabrication process to build 3 full scale models of Trifecta

The form of "Trifecta" was discovered by experimenting with the geometry of a hexagon, how it can divide into other shapes, and how these shapes can come together to create a harmonious form.
